We believe Architecture and Interior Design should seamlessly blend.

That's why we spend considerable time listening to each client's specific goals and ideas right from the start. Then we guide you every step of the way until your vision is realized.

Chris has worked on many amazing projects throughout her career.  Originally from Dayton, Ohio, she began as an Interior Designer in Greensboro, North Carolina in the mid 80s.  By 1992, she had found her way to Colorado and discovered the incredible landscape of the West.  Here, Chris continued her education at the University of Colorado Denver and received a Masters of Architecture in 1996.

Chris joined Davis Partnership Architects after graduate school and began conceptual development for Yampa Valley Medical Center.  Steamboat Springs, Colorado was in desperate need of a modern medical facility.  Chris's concept was to recall the historical buildings of the National Forest Service that are such an important part of the area's aesthetics.  These structures, derived during the Arts and Crafts Period, had a feeling of hand craftmanship.  This sense of art, home, and creativity was the foundation for the design to give warmth to the new campus.  The main lobby focal point is a large stone fireplace, surrounded by overstuffed seating and a colorful stained glass carpet pattern.

In 2000, Chris returned to Greensboro, North Carolina.  She was fortunate to be selected to prototype stores for Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation.  Headquartered in Winston Salem, Chris worked directly with the Concept Development Team to create new interior enviroments for the stores.  Their Brand was translated into interior architectural elements, including the doughnut cloud, the queue line, and doughnut theater with customers watching the waterfall of glaze.

In 2001, Krispy Kreme purchased a coffee roasting company and moved them from Chicago to Winston Salem.  Chris renovated their stainless steel doughnut making equipment factory into The Krispy Kreme Coffee Roasting Plant and Touring Facility.  This project alone is a excellent example of how Chris combines her talents in Architecture and Interior Design.

In 2004, Chris returned to Denver and she rejoined Davis Partnership.  She led the Interior Design of Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.  The firm was commissioned to provide a new women's services 6-story tower including NICU, ICU, LDR and Post Partum Floors.  The team received another 1st place design award for Chris's concept, a space within a space, and playing with the notion dressing up a building, give it curves, eye lashes, make it softer, more feminine.

Chris has consulted with many architectural design firms across the country and started Creation Interiors, LLC in 2008 to better serve the Denver design community.

Chris is active in a number of professional organizations including the American Institute of Architects.  Recently, she worked with Women In Design on a residence in Evergreen, Colorado for Habitat for Humanity.
